Electric tricycles are a growing market inside the booming electric bicycle (e-bike) market. E-bikes, with a focus on urban mobility and transportation replacement in dense urban areas, electric tricycles are catering to a different audience – people with mobility issues and Seniors.

In 2010, there were 40.3 million people over the age of 65 in the United States, about 13% of the overall population. By 2050, data suggests that number will increase to 20.9% of the population.

People are living longer and they still want to lead an active, healthy lifestyle even if they have mobility issues.

Enter Liberty Trike, an electric tricycle with a focus on people with limited mobility to give them the opportunity to get around easily.

The Liberty Trike is a hipper mobility scooter. For starters, it will be foldable, so it’s easily transported. It has an electric-assisted speed of up to 7.5 miles per hour and the lithium battery pack lets you ride for up to 24 miles and charges in three hours.

The makers of Liberty Trike say they have made the back of the tricycle narrower so it can navigate doorways better. And, the 360-degree radius lets riders navigate tight corners with ease.
